Going to Disneyland and meeting all of your favourite Disney heroes, villains and princesses is a dream come true for many humans, young and old, across the globe. But, did you know, that our beloved furry companions might also love Disney just as much as we do? Perhaps more than we do.

Internet, meet Nala.

Nala has been a service dog for around two years, providing crucial support, companionship, comfort and security for her human, Megan Leigh, who has autism. A person with autism may struggle to form bonds with or express feelings to other human beings. Sometimes a person with autism can become very easily stressed and frustrated with the world around them. This is where autism support dogs, like Nala, step in and lend a paw, giving unconditional, stress-busting love and to be a life-long companion who will always be there to listen and cuddle, no matter what.

Nala and Megan both love Disney, so it’s unsurprising that their favourite place to be is Disneyland. In fact, Nala has visited Disneyland over fifty times since becoming a service dog and is hence known as “Disney’s Favourite Dog”.

On a more recent trip to the land of Disney, Nala found one of her favourite Disney characters — Donald Duck — and spent a long time (like, a really long time) cuddling him. Donald also loved cuddling with Nala and was very clear that Nala could cuddle him for as long as she wanted. The meeting melted everyone’s hearts at Disneyland that day. And it’ll melt yours too, because there’s a video of the cute snuggling pair. Take a look.

“Nala did not want to leave Donald at all, she loves him a lot!” — Megan Leigh

Nala deserves every single Disney snuggle she can get for the amazing support that she provides Megan.

Want to see some more of her mega cuteness? Of course you do, here you go.

In some of her pictures, Nala wears special doggy socks to protect her sensitive paws from the hot ground.

Of course, it’s important to remember that, as cute as they are, you must never approach and touch a service dog without asking first. Not only would it be a bit rude to randomly pet someone’s dog (how would you like it if a random stranger starts stroking you?), but it can also distract or even startle the service dog. We all know how hard it is to resist burying ourselves in snuggly, soft, warm, floofy floof, but a little bit of politeness goes a very long way.

Good girl, Nala. Thank you for being there for your human. And I hope there are many, many more exciting Disneyland adventures ahead for you.
